Jenna Lang daughter of Michael Lang (37th Med 69-70) Dear members of
the 11th Armored Cavalry’s Veteran’s of Vietnam and Cambodia, It is truly an honor to be accepted as a recipient of a scholarship for your organization. I have
attended a number of reunions with my father, Michael Lang, 37th Med, 69-70. Right from the start, I have felt that I was in the presence of family. No, it’s more
than that. I can’t explain in words the bond that you feel for each other. To walk next to any one of you is to be in the shadow of a Hero. It is truly awe-inspiring. A
scholarship is, by definition, financial assistance. What makes this truly special is that it came from you, Members of the 11th ACVVC. It is something that I will
cherish the rest of my life. I will be starting my second year at the University of Wisconsin, Stout with a major in Graphic Design. I plan to minor in Business Administration.
I will try my best to attend this year’s reunion although it comes after I start for the year and the first few weeks are usually hectic. In the event that I cannot attend,
rest assured that you will be in my heart. Thank you again for your generosity. |

Dear members of the 11th ACVVC,
I would like to express my gratitude to all of you for
awarding me one of your scholarships. It is an honor to receive such recognition from a distinguished group of men. A group that I hope to make proud in my upcoming years in
army ROTC.
My father has always been proud to be a member of the
Blackhorse, and to have served with such a great group of men. My sister and I have attended some of the reunions and have met many of the men he served with. Now, they are
apart of my extended family whom I adore.
Again, thank you for the recognition. |
